The Faculty works in the internationalization of their students

Is being carried out in the Faculty of Exact Sciences and Technologies, a Course of English language A1, orientated to the exact sciences and technology, destined only for the students of this Academic Unit. The classes started in the first week of May and can do students of all races, from 3rd year free of charge. The English you dictate, has been planned on the basis of the rules of the European International English. The Common European Framework of Reference for Languages, is a standard used in many countries, which serves to measure the level of comprehension and oral and written expression in a particular language. Sets a scale of six common reference levels for the organization of the learning of languages and the approval of the various securities issued by entities certified. The division is grouped into three blocks that respond to a more classical division at the basic, intermediate and advanced: A1, A2, B1, B2, C1, C2. In the present year, this course will dictate the level A1, and is expected to continue in the coming years with the levels A2 and B1.
Through this training aims to provide students with a tool for its internationalization, one of the axs raised in the Strategic Plan for the Training of Engineers (PEFI), driven from the Secretariat of university policies (SPU) some years ago: "The internationalisation of the Engineering". This is achieved through the mobility of students, teachers and scientists; their participation in international congresses; joint research work between different countries; among other activities. This course has been organized by the area of interinstitutional cooperation and International Relations (ARICI), recently created at this Faculty.
 
His teacher, Fabiana Fernández Vercelli reports: "The aim of this course is to open new doors for communication, cooperation and academic and cultural exchange between our students and foreign students. Because today the education of the 21st century must have four fundamental pillars: inclusion, accessibility, equal opportunities, and internationalisation. And the academic houses must be at the forefront," says.
 
With regard to the contents of the course, explains that it is a "internationalized English", and that there is no English better or more correct between the British or American, "This goes beyond differences in the variability of the language. But a language internationalized, it is a language that can be shared with the world, in all areas of exchange: academic, commercial, cultural, social. If we want to make an exchange, we must give and receive, and not only in a academic language, but of all the days, because the academic language has locked us in a sub-language. Learn the internationalized English, is to be able to get in contact with the other, of any area, and that is the objective". The teacher also argues that this type of roads in the training, allow to open ourselves to other cultures "produces as a result a greater tolerance for cultural differences, an acceptance, opens us a different perspective of the world. Makes us more collaborative, cooperative, and allows us to get to the other".
On the modality of the dictation of classes, the teacher implements the e-learning and mobile-learning, relying on technological mediums that streamline the teacher-student. In addition, are continually being carried out joint evaluations, to go deeper in the areas that it is difficult to measure that progress is being made in education, "classes are held entirely in English, and correct each ability in each classes, is the technique of the portfolio. Can I do a permanent monitoring of them and myself. And I am convinced that in the absence of pressure, the motivation becomes inspiration". The teacher expects to reach the Level B1, students have the skills necessary to communicate in oral and written form in English, which would enable them to aspire to do an internship in any part of the world.
