PROFESSIONALPROFILE OF THE GRADUATES

An electrical engineer is a dedicated professional, trained in the fundamental sciences, in electrical technologies and their applications in the field of generation, transport, distribution, containment and consumption of electrical energy.

Embodies the basic notions of management, administration of human resources,  formulation and evaluation of projects.

Is creative, applies the acquired knowledge in the solution of concrete problems, such as the generation of new technologies.

Address appropriately and from a humanistic perspective the complex legal and economic relations that are imposed by a modern world.

She/he manifests an ethical attitude and of commitment to his work, with values such as preservation of environment and economy of resources.

 

The following prerogatives correspond to an electrical engineer:

Study, project feasibility, planning, construction, installation, implementation into progress, operation, essays, measurements, maintenance, reparation, modification, transformation and inspection of:

  • Systems or parts of systems of generation, transmission, distribution, conversion, control, automatic processes, reception, processing and usefulness of electrical energy in all frequencies and power levels, except on civil and industrial projects.
  • All variety of labs related to the previous paragraph.
  • Systems of control.
  • Installations that use electromagnetic signals such as accessories detailed in the previous paragraph.
  • Participate in the development of applied computation to engineering; including products of programming (software) and all physical hardware.
  • Participate in the economic evaluation of investment projects of Electrical Engineering.
  • Participate in the elaboration of taxes and policies, prices and marginal costs of generators and electricity generation, transportation and distribution of electrical engineering.

 

Studies, Works and conducts an advisory role related to:

  • Subjects related to Legislation in Engineering, the Economy and Finances related to the topics mentioned above.
  • Arbitrary issues, challenges and taxations related with the previous paragraphs.
  • Hygiene, industrial security and environment contamination related with the previously mentioned paragraphs.
