Responsibilities for a Road Engineer:
 

A Road Engineer is a professional of Engineering that is well trained for:

  • Study, design, and manage projects, construction and management of urban and rural road works, artworks and bridges, airport runways.    
  • Surveying tasks related to the aforementioned point.    
  • Assessment of projects and their conditions and rehabilitation of roads construction.     
  • Conducting laboratory experiments in order to investigate soil and other materials used in the implementation of road works.    
  • Address issues of legal engineering, economics and finance related to the operation of the communication roads.

A - Study, project feasibility in the area of roads and directions, construction, inspection, operation and maintenance of:    

  • Road Works.    
  • Artworks in public works and bridges.    
  • Structural planning of airport runways.

B - Study, design, inspection, construction and maintenance of structures.

C- Feasibility study and assessments related tasks:    

  • Soil mechanics and foundations.   
  • Surveying relating to points A and B.   
  • Geometric design of intersections at a level and upper lower levels.   
  • Evaluation of roads, pavements and recycling reinforcements.    
  • Road safety signage and traffic lights.
  • Road accident analysis.
  • Planning urban systems and rural transport.   
  • Systems management urban and rural transport.   
  • Evaluation of the economic feasibility of the transport system.    
  • Traffic studies and environmental impact of public works and roads in urban and rural areas.    
  • Legal and financial issues related to engineering items A, B and C.    
  • Arbitrations, skills and assessments related to the points A, B and C.
