University Technician in Construction (two years and a half)

 
Duration of academic career: two years and a half.
Requirements of enrollment: Medium level completed under the regulations of Art. 7 of the University Education Nr. 24521

 

Profile of a graduated professional

A University technician (Associate Degree) in construction should have:

  • Basic knowledge of the natural sciences and technologies for an adequate practical foundation in his exercise of duties as a University Technician in Construction.
  • Appropriate preparation and capacity for the realization of reports and labs and control of materials.
  • Appropriate preparation and capacity for the realization of calculation and estimates.
  • Apropiada preparación y capacidad para realizar dibujos y planos, tanto en tablero como en computadora.
  • Appropriate preparation and capacity for the realization of drawings and plans, not only on paper but also in computer.
  • Adequate formation in team work in order to collaborate in the technical interdisciplinary teams destined to construct multi-purpose public works.

 Objetives

  • Execute Works related with the installation and building of offices, labs and other structures in a fixed environment or mobile.
  • Execute reports of labs related to quality control of materials that are used in the construction.
  • Be collaborative in the works of planning and formulation of projects and counter-projects of works in construction.
  • Participate in the control of construction and maintenance of civil Works.
  • Execute works of drawings, plans, calculations and estimates related with construction works.
  • Participate in the study of security and environmental impact and ecological consequences of civilian construction works.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams in the study, feasibility, Project, direction, inspection, construction, operation, maintenance and administration of buildings, no matter what their destination could be, with all complementary works and installations.
