PROFESSIONAL PROFILE OF RECENT GRADUATES

An electromechanical engineer in accordance to his knowledge, capacities and adequate abilities is in conditions to:

 

  • Undertake with a theoretical capacity and an innovative approach the technical problems and technological changes that are within their range. 
  • Recognize the existing technologies, select, manage, create and develop new technologies.
  • Distinguish the levels of hierarchy of a general electromechanical system and integrate into systems equipped with a varying degree of complexity, analyzing and evaluating with proper methods of engineering.
  • Using the techniques and information technology tools.   
  • Interpret economic variables and their impact on production, entrepreneurship and society.     Deal with the constant knowledge development required by their specialty.    
  • Express an ethical attitude at work and in other social activities.
  • Express an attitude of commitment to values such as environmental protection and economics of natural resources.
     

The scope of an Electromechanical Engineer:
 

 A - Study, planning, project management, construction, installation, commissioning, operation, testing, measurement, maintenance, repairs, modifications, changes and inspection of:

Electrical and mechanical systems or parts with these features included in other systems. Systems or parts of systems of energy generation, transmission, distribution, receipt and use of electrical energy in the industrial frequencies.    
Laboratories related to the preceding paragraphs.

B - Studies, tasks and advice on:    
Arbitrations, skills and appraisals related to electromechanical systems.    
Control systems.

C - Hygiene, Industrial security, environmental contamination related with item A.
