PROFESSOR OF MATHEMATICS (4 YEARS)

PROFESSIONAL PROFILE OF GRADUATE:

A professor of Mathematics is a professional who posses:

  • Equipped with solid theoretical and practical knowledge about Mathematical Sciences and disciplines that shape his area of knowledge.
  • Is prepared to establish relations with other fields that are related to Mathematics.
  • Manages interactions with other sciences, from the perspective of his/her academic formation in order to resolve interdisciplinary problems that demand an intervention.
  • Develop knowledge through his participation in the realization of studies and projects of investigation while applying the scientific methods.
  • Apply and fosters knowledge in order to resolve theoretical – practical problems in all those that is required the mathematical sciences.
  • Contribute in the transmission of knowledge through the exercise of professorship in the University at a career of the same denomination or lower level, in a tertiary level non university level, in the third cycle of EGB a Poly-modal level.

A professor of Mathematics is able to:

  • Plan, administer, conduct and evaluate the processes of learning and teaching in the corresponding disciplines, in the tertiary non-university level, in the basic general teaching, at a poly-modal level and in a university level in a career of equal denomination or at a lower level (undergraduate).
  • Investigate and realize studies about transmission of knowledge of science, their involvement and their applications from a scientific, pedagogic and technological perspective.
  • Advise about the conceptual framework, methodological and empirical concepts of teaching in mathematics.
