In the days 13 and 14 October, in the National Technological University-Regional Resistance (Chaco), took place on the 60th Plenary Meeting of the Federal Council of Engineering Deans (CONFEDI), with special participation of the Secretary of university policies of the Nation (SPU), Albor Cantard, and representatives of more than a hundred Faculties of Engineering, among whom was the Dean of the Faculty of Exact Sciences and Technologies (UNSE), Engineer Héctor Rubén peace.
During the opening ceremony, the holder of the SPU stressed the national commitment to "continue to work together and in a strategic manner" with the CONFEDI and stressed its concern about the "Conclusions and statistics" that will be presented in the work of the commissions of the plenary meeting, concerning the application of the programs and projects that strengthen the careers in engineering in the country. For its part, the outgoing President of the CONFEDI Ing. Sergio Pagani, expressed in the opportunity: "It is our commitment that this work to be done in these days of plenary of CONFEDI, contribution to public policies and to propose new projects to improve the quality of teaching, to remain more and better engineers, for which the document to be drawn up we want it to be a contribution to the SPU".
Since the organization, it was reported that "During this meeting, the job will be to evaluate the results of various programs and projects that were included in the policies of strengthening of the careers in engineering, and the Strategic Plan for Training of Engineers in recent years with a view to the elaboration of a document to be submitted to the Secretariat of university policies. With the reports made, CONFEDI hopes to contribute positively to the SPU deepens and/or consolidate reprints of programs that had a positive impact on the strengthening of the training of engineers and, in addition, start new programs that address needs or new challenges not covered by the above" they said.
Finalizing this 60th plenary meeting, was conducted the election of the new holder of the CONFEDI, resulting selected the Mg. Ing. Liliana Basin Pletsch, Dean of the UTN Resistance, which also becomes the first woman to hold this position.
