The graduate in Mathematcs María José Benac of College of Sciencies and Technologies, finished successful the march 29 th , a Doctorate of College of Exact Sciencies, in the area mathematic, of University National of La Plata (UNLP). the Dr. Benac, also is boss of Practics Works in subject Lineal Algebra (for engineering), Algebra II (Degree in Information Systems and Teacher in Computer Science) and Real Functions (Degree in Mathematic) of our College.
The endeavor of 5 years of doctorate, it had had the mejor result, when she had her rating with 10, outstanding, the investigation was titled: "Potential convex, dual obliques optimal and normal aliasing in finite dimensional subspace and translation invariant subspaces", guided for DR. Pedro Massey and Demetrio Stojanoff, both investigators of CONICET and professors of UNLP.
The Dr. Benac said: " I´m very happy to have achieved a goal set years ago, but especially I´m so entusiasted for to teach that learned in this years".
The 1 th april, it was granted the post doctoral scholarship CONICET, and she will address as new proyect a plan of investigation, that propose the development of two interrelated topics: "propose to consider Theorem kind Schur-Horn adapted to Algebras of operatores, associated to representations of group locally compact, and on the other hand, propose the study of frames obteined the motion the set of vectors (generators) for the action of a representation of a locally compact group, in particular, those properties relationated with existence of these frames with default properties. Also we are interested in extensions of the called potential convex associated to structured frames".
To stand out that María José was the first student our College, graduate of Mathematic. The Career was created in 2001, and Benac came on in 2002 and she graduated in 2007, under the direction of graduate Nori Cheein de Auat. Also was Honor Frame of College and UNSE. The College congratulates to DR. Benac y wishes success in her new investigation.
Details of thesis work
The Dr. Benac describes briefly the contributions of labor: "in the thesis we show that is possible extend the Potential Convex to spaces generated for the translations of finite family of functions (E(F)).
Other result of thesis, is the optimo design of frames. in this thesis got necessary and sufficient conditions to the existence of obliques duales de E(F). on the other hand, use to methodology of building de Water-Filing resolves completely the problem of design of duales frames optimos with restrictions of norma. in particular, notes as important contribution, the extention of theorem Schur-Horn to fields measurable of positive semidefinides matrices", notes Dr. Benac.
