The College contributes to drinking water in Nueva Francia

The thursday 28th, carry out the act opening of Course Workshop "Building of ceramic filters decontaminant of water"in Nueva Francia (Department Silipica), organized for the project "Santiago DIversidad" of our College, the College of Sciencies Forestry,  Commission local municipal. This course to originate from the investigation in the subject, it is free and have as recipients people of Nueva Francia and near zones.

Tha act opening was presided for Commissioner Municipal José Morales, Deans both Colleges Dr. Ing. Víctor Hugo Acosta (FCF), Ing. Héctor Paz (FCEyT), the Deputy our College Ing. Pedro Basualdo, and headline of Santiago Diversidad Lic. Elvio Suárez. Also, from UNSE participate a retinue formed for university and artisans and the public in general interested in do it.

The worshop have a duration 60 hours and is in charge Artisan Pedro Villarreal.

The goals are: integrate skills and knowledge of artisans and university to build ceramic filters apt to reduce pollutions of water; facilitate diffusion that this knowledge, carry in practice a strategy to ease difficults the people to have drinking water. During this course will built ovens, filters in three steps:

1- Theorist fundaments of ceramic filters decontaminant of water and will teaching to build ovens.

2- Cooking of ovens and experimentation with filters. the FCEyT, from Department Geology and Geotechny and Colleg of Sciencies Foresty, will analize the same and give your opiniones.

3- Cooking of filters builded for each pupil. Evaluation of pupil to charge of teacher of course.

It should be noted, since 2014 Santiago Diversidad works in this issues, and october 21th 2015,  Santiago Diversidad, both College and Commission Municipal of Nueva Francia, they signed Adjustment Agreement  for do this course, in 2016.

The College of Sciencies and Technologies have since the year 2010 "Santiago Diversidad" extention unit to promote the participation of citizenship in ambit of dialogue and cooperation to help to looking for solutions to social problems in this province. this environment of interaction, to ease linking of university with the enviroment, allowing to recognize urgent demands of community.
